Petroleum Coke, commonly referred to as Petcoke, is a solid carbon material derived from the final thermal cracking process in oil refineries. This process breaks down long-chain hydrocarbons into shorter, more valuable fractions. The residual material—Petcoke—is a high-carbon, low-ash fuel known for its high energy content, making it an ideal substitute for coal and other traditional fuels in several heavy industries.

There are two main types of Petcoke:
Green Petcoke (Non-Calcined): Used primarily as fuel.
Calcined Petcoke: Processed further and used in the production of aluminum, steel, and titanium dioxide.
